Durham Woodland Workspace is a private, purpose-built rural venue just outside Durham City, offering a peaceful and professional space for co-working days, strategy sessions, facilitated retreats, and small group workshops.
Set among mature beech, holly, and yew trees, with the River Deerness flowing nearby, this accessible woodland log cabin blends natural beauty with modern facilities. Ideal for coaches, consultants, facilitators, business owners and wellbeing professionals seeking a quiet, elevated setting to gather, plan, or host meaningful work.
Available for half-day, full-day, or bespoke hire.

- Tea station with loose-leaf, black, and herbal teas

Outside catering is welcome, feel free to bring your own or work with one of our recommended partners.

- Private on-site car park for 8 cars, with space for at least 5 more on the drive
- Well serviced by bus from Durham City
- Paved path from car park to cabin
- Ramp access to front door (note: small lip at threshold may present a challenge for some wheelchair users)

The space
Durham Woodland Workspace includes three flexible rooms inside a fully equipped timber cabin, set in peaceful private woodland just outside Durham.
The Rooms
We offer three bookable spaces:
BEECH SPACE
The main room – bright, spacious with seating for up to 15 people. Includes upholstered, stackable chairs and lightweight, movable tables which can be arranged in various layouts.
BIRCH OFFICE
A private, light-filled office with a wooden desk, two leather wingback chairs, and an additional side chair – ideal for solo deep work, coaching sessions, or small meetings.
BRAMBLE ROOM
A smaller space (seating up to 4 people) that includes a table and comfortable chairs and a whiteboard – perfect for private breakout sessions or focused planning.
All rooms are fully heated and have access to natural light.
